The following day, the authorities deployed two navy divers who seemed not to have been in any cave before to find our friend. One diver never came back. Two days later, the nightmare intensified. One of my friends and I were accused of murder and thrown into custody. Croatian police needed someone to blame. They claimed they had found our deceased friend with his diving knife buried in his chest. Could they manufacture the evidence to sentence us? Our fight for freedom started.
