  • There were no trophies for the club’s senior teams in 2023, both Yorkshire’s men and the Northern Diamonds women, yet still a number of highlights. The men put a 48-point deduction in the Championship behind them to lift themselves off the bottom of Division Two with three wins, building confidence ahead of a promotion push this summer. The Diamonds were unable to defend their Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy title, but having lost some experienced players from their squad youngsters such as Leah Dobson, Grace Hall, Lizzie Scott and Jess Woolston stood up and progressed their games. Bess Heath and captain Hollie Armitage also gained senior and A-team recognition with England. Maybe that 50-over title will be returning to Headingley this summer.
