Me, You, Them

What happens when love doesn’t look like the life you planned? A bold exploration of desire, autonomy, and the courage to live truthfully -- ‘The first time, I'm afraid: of things falling into place, of knowing deeply that this is right. That all along I've been fighting a tide that with one wave would wipe out ordinary life.’ Sheffield. 2019. Evie and her husband wait in a shopping centre coffee shop for a woman they have only ever spoken with online. When she arrives, they go to a motorway hotel together and have sex with the casual promise afterwards to meet again sometime. When they took their marriage vows, they had meant every word. So how had they drifted so far from the life they had imagined? In her lyrical meditations on the fluidity of desire, Evie offers an intimate and unfiltered look into the realities of an open marriage, challenging assumptions about love, commitment, and the societal rules that often confine us. Can you truly redefine your individual boundaries without destroying your partnership? And what does it mean to find empowerment in breaking the mould? Me, You, Them is a book about the power of the body to unlock the mind. It is about want and attraction and what defines them. It is a memoir that will dare you to reconsider the very definitions of love, desire, and the boundaries we so readily accept. ‘The rules we have lived inside are not real. I’m not sure it’s possible to go back, even if I wanted to.’
